History

Shakira Daily was started by myself as a breath of fresh air. I had been doing fansites on the internet for over eight years now and I decided that it was time for something different. I needed a website that I would not only learn something from, but something that would be a much better use of my time.

I chose to create a website for Shakira because I was disappointed in many of today’s so called “hottest” music artist. I felt as if I was putting my energy into a website for people who would care less about my efforts if the day ever did arrive that I would meet them. And with a previous website that I owned for three years that is exactly what happened. I’ve always been a fan of Shakira  and I can see many of the same traits that she has a human being existing in myself. I love the fact that she is so amorous towards children and the world in general. There aren’t many people in this world that can take the time out of their “busy” lives to stop and care for others–it is especially rare for a celebrity.

After countless names being thrown out, we decided to settle with the name Shakira Daily. Many of the other domain names that we came up with were already taken and the more creative names just didn’t seem to capture Shakira’s complete essence. So here Shakira Daily is, a name so bare and simple, but one that means so much.
